The best advice I can give you is to make healthy habits for yourself! I originally had no intentions of losing weight, I just wanted to be healthier. My friend encouraged me to do this 60 Day Challenge with her to try and get in better shape.
The challenge consisted of working out 6 days a week (3 days of cardio, 3 days of strengths) and eating a healthy, balanced diet. The key thing to the diet is trying to get rid of all the “crap” that you might be eating already. For my diet I tried to eat lean meats, fruits, veggies, nuts, cheese, and healthy carbs. Try and limit the amount of processed food you eat and watch your portion sizes.
Once the 60 days were over, I had created habits for myself and it felt weird for me to not be working out and eating healthy. I had more energy and was less stressed. Doing this challenge allowed for me make healthy habits which eventually lead to the weight loss.
I started the challenge in January and by August I had lost almost 15 pounds. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but if you are determined to live a healthy lifestyle, you will see results!
I’ve continued working out and eating healthy in order to keep the weight off.
